I am 6'4 and 220 pounds, I slept great on this cot during a recent five day camping trip. It is rather simple to set up and does not require the strength of the gods as some have described when putting the supporting rods in place at each end.The cot is sturdy, I sat on it and my significant other sat on it without any issues.
As the other reviews stated, this cot is a bit challenging to set up the first time. Initially, the end pieces require a little muscle to assemble, but since being slept on a few nights the fabric has "stretched" just enough to make it easier to assemble. This cot is super sturdy and provides the expected firm "cot" night of sleep. I have a small beach house and we use this for our teen guests. The cot is lightweight, folds easily and takes up little space. This cot would be great for camping. I would definitely purchase again. Great Value for the price!
Love this cot. It is for our son who is 7, about 50 pounds and about 51 inches tall. It's perfect for him and I can see he will get many years out of it before he outgrows it. We ordered an Intex inflatable camp bed to go on top. Quality seems good for the price. Easy to set up and take down. These type of cots always take a bit of muscle (and counter-pressure) to fit the last peg on the end piece, but no more than any of our other cots of this style. The camo is the good ol' fashion army camo.
I love it. I sleep very comfortably, add a couple of microfiber blankets folded lengthwise and you have a luxurious nap or good nights rest. It unfolds easy, when folding back up fold in the flaps of the end of the bed for the 2 additional support bars, so it doesn't get jammed while collapsing. Takes all of 5 minutes or less to make ready.
With camping this is a must have. We have always toughed it out on the ground but as we've gotten older that's hard to do. The cot allows us to keep camping but comfortably now. Plus these work well when we have guest over.
I was very impressed with the cot it is very easy to carry and sturdy when it was set up. The tightness of the canvas makes putting the end bars on a little tricky. I can over look this because I know that the tight stretch of the canvas means it is new and will last longer if taken care of appropriately. Great design, light weight and easy to transport.
